This project started as a photovoltaic system (8.4kW) and domestic solar hot water for a new residence. The design quickly grew to include a ground source geothermal heat pump for a near zero energy footprint. The heat pump supplies the radiant floor heating, chill water fan coil cooling, radiant wine room cooling, aquarium heating and cooling, and pool heating. The pool, designed by Skip Phillips and Mission Pools, incorporates an in-shell radiant heating system. A Tekmar tn4 control system ties all of these systems together for home automation.
